With the introduction of the Apple iPhone in 2007 GlowRed.com acquired the my-iPhone.com and my-iPhone.co.uk domain names with the intention of offering a web site and services that targeted users of this amazing web and email enabled device.

Initially a fee based email solution called @my-iphone was going to be offered using a bespoke email solution and payment gateway, but after further consideration this option was rejected.

As time has progressed GlowRed.com has decided to design and develop a web site that offers free iPhone services which include hundreds of iPhone wallpapers, iPhone hints and tips and a free @my-iphone email service. Future developements include a conversion tool to convert YouTube movies into movies and .MP3's for the iPhone.

With the free @my-iPhone email service customers are able to request for an @my-iPhone.com email address. Access to their @my-iPhone email address can be made using their iPhone, an email client such as Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail or webmail using virtually any computer with a web browser.

Another service will be a YouTube and hopefully MetaCafe download service. Visitors to the site will be able to cut and paste YouTube or MetaCafe video URL's into a text box and will be able to convert and download the videos so that they may be easily copied onto their iPhones using iTunes. The videos will be optimised for the iPhone screen size and will also enable the ability to convert YouTube or MetaCafe videos into .MP3 music files.

To drive initial traffic to the web site a number of different promotional solutions have been put into action at once. Search engine submission and site optimisation has been used to gain an initial interest in the site. Further requests to be linked from sites will also ensure that the my-iPhone.com web site becomes more well known. A link is displayed on the CatchYouTube.com web site. Since launching in August 2009, the my-iPhone.com web site receives over 100,000 hits a month.

Revenue is generated with adverts being displayed on each page, these adverts are being supplied by Google Adwords.

The short term goal for the GlowRed.com team is to continue developing the my-iPhone.com web site and to introduce the free YouTube conversion tool for iPhone.
